Thank you for wanting to know more about Focus Community.  On this page, you will find out what we do and what we do not believe.

I. We believe there is one God existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

II. We believe Jesus is the Son of God, causing him to be 100% deity, and the Son of Man, causing him to be 100% man.  Jesus was born of a virgin, Mary, lived a sinless life, and fulfilled all that was required for the salvation and redemption of mankind by dying on the cross and coming back to life on the third day.  He is now in Heaven, sitting at the right hand of God, interceeding on behalf of mankind before the Father.  Jesus is soon coming back to Earth to gather His bride, the Church, and bring us to Heaven.

III. We believe every person is born a sinner and is in need of salvation (Romans 3:23-24).  Furthermore, we affirm that salvation is accomplished by the work of Jesus Christ alone. His sinless life, substitutionary death and bodily resurrection are not only necessary, but are alone sufficient for our justification and reconciliation to God.

IV.  We believe the Holy Spirit is active in the world today, giving spiritual gifts to those who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord (Rom. 8; I Cor. 12-14).
