When was the last time you went to church? How often do you attend? Many in our community don’t go to church unless it’s Easter or Christmas or if there’s a wedding or funeral. And the reasoning we have in going is more of duty and guilt more than anything else. That’s where Focus Community Church comes in. Even though we live in a religious community, going to church hasn’t been penciled in our calendar, much less a part of our weekly routine. So, what’s different about Focus? Rather than being a church based on Biblical principles, we are a church based solely on the Bible.
Did you know the Bible has wisdom concerning every aspect of our lives, even today? Many people know about the Bible, but the majority doesn't know what the Bible itself actually says. That’s where Focus Community Church comes in. As a community, we look to the Bible and learn how to use money rather than allowing money to use us. The Bible teaches us how to raise children, articulates what sin is and how Jesus Christ alone can erase that sin. It maps out how we can know for certain that we are going to get to Heaven rather than hoping things will turn out our way.
That’s where Focus Community Church comes in. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been divorced, had a child out of wedlock, or are addicted to anything. Or even if you’re carrying on a lifestyle that brings you guilt and shame. The fact of the matter is: God loved us the day we were born, He loves us today, and will still love us tomorrow when we struggle through life’s issues.
In Christ's Love,
Pastor Ben
